Photograph of 7 ft 6½ in (2.30 m) tall Baptiste Hugo, known as the French Giant, sitting in a New York City tavern with a beer on the table beside him and a cigar in hand, 1908. The man seated next to him gives a sense of his scale. The photograph was likely taken as publicity while he was employed by the Barnum & Bailey Circus.

American Revolutionary War Veteran William Hutchings, 1864.

William Hutchings was one of the last living veterans of the American Revolutionary War when his photograph was taken in 1864. This photo was published individually and as part of a book by Rev. E. B. Hillard, who visited and interviewed six of the last living veterans that took part in the American War of Independence from Great Britain, including William Hutchings.

Postcard studio portrait photo taken in 1918 of future U.S. President Harry S. Truman in uniform while serving in France, during the First World War. It is noted that this photo was given to John A. Hatfield in France in 1918 and returned to Harry S. Truman in January 1962.
